The Siehl's
Vincent J.

I was born in October of 1963, the third of four children born to Matthew L. and Oliva Siehl. I graduated in 1982 from Middlesex County Vocational and Technical High School in East Brunswick. My major field of study was electronics. Immediately after school I went to work for the cable company and stayed there for a few years. Then I went to work for an electronic manufacturing firm in Edison, N.J. and the railroad finally called in 1989. I started working as an electrician in the mechanical dept. We maintained the trains during regular inspection cycles and when any unscheduled maintenance ocurred. I took the test for Locomotive Engineer in 1996 and have been there since. I have become active in our labor organization, The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.

I met Cindy in 1987 and we were married in 1989. We have two boys, Vincent and Matthew, who keep us pretty busy. They are very active in sports. Both have played soccer, baseball, and wrestling. Vincent also tried football and played in one summer basketball league.

I have been a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1992. I enjoy camping with the family and motorcycle riding. Anyone who knows me can tell you that I am a huge N.Y. Yankee fan. My other favorite teams are the N.Y. Rangers and the football Giants.

This photo was taken just a few hours before I made my Fourth Degree with the Knights of Columbus, November 17, 2002.

I have 10 nieces and nephews and three Godchildren. I am very proud of them all. I have made a lot of friends throughout the years but only a few friendships have stood the test of time. A very special hello goes out to my good friends Ken S. and his family, and  Dawn G. and her family. Although a great many miles separate us, nothing can ever come between us and we think about them often.
